Steven Budiman is an excellent pianist with remarkable musicianship and pianistic virtuosic techniques. He is enthusiastic and meticulous in piano teaching specialising in classical piano.
Born in Indonesia, Steven is currently pursuing his bachelor of music education with his scholarship award from Excelsia College, Sydney. His major is piano performance and minor in education. He enjoys playing electric guitar as well as violin in his leisure time. After obtaining the ABRSM Diploma in Music Performance Qualification, he is now focusing on music arranging, exploring and teaching other music genres such as pop, anime, spiritual and jazz music. He is looking forward to participating in your music learning journey!
Hemans Erilia is an Australian-born Chinese performer, writer and producer. The all-rounded musician is a current student at the University of Sydney’s Conservatorium of Music. Hemans is classically trained in the piano and violin, and is cultivated in her vocal performance. She has many experiences in musical productions and participated in many competitions, including APRA’s Vanda and Young Global Songwriting Contest. She was a finalist in the Sport for Jove Shakespeare Carnival for Music, and APRU’s Quarantunes Student Music Competition. Her music could be described as cinematic pop expressing the personal and vulnerable narrative of love. It urges you to “stop time for yourself”, as it crafts movie-like “main character moments” for you to experience your emotions. Hemans’ original works consist of her debut single ‘Love Me This Way’, ‘Make This Christmas’ and the unofficially released ‘Where is Home’. She was also a vocalist in the Platinum Vocal Studio Christmas Album, singing a rendition of ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’. Hemans’ pop sound is influenced by artists such as Ariana Grande, Maisie Peters, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, and film composers such as Danny Elfman, John Williams and Joe Hisaishi. Her bicultural background also led her to be influenced by Chinese artists such as Joey Yung, Wang Leehom and Kary Ng. Hemans is currently writing and producing more original works, as she begins to craft her first EP.
Liaam is a violinist and viola player who actively performs with various music ensembles within Sydney.
Other musical highlights include his participation in Australian Youth Orchestra’s performance at the Carols in the Domain 2021.
He has studied through Suzuki and AMEB methods, having attained Honours in AMEB Grade 8 and currently working towards the AMusA in Viola.
He is actively seeking ways to immerse himself within the classical music landscape. He likes to share his knowledge with like-minded musicians that are aiming to enhance their musical skill sets.
Nick is an innovative and passionate piano teacher.
Nick has a background of civil engineering who loves new innovations and appreciates little things in life. He has a keen eye for detail and he is always open to exploring new learning experiences for his students.
He enjoys being encompassed in music and is delighted to teach music. Apart from piano teaching, Nick also enjoys photography and bushwalking.

Christy is a passionate music educator and pianist. A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and University of Sydney, Christy held a Bachelor of Music degree, and specialized in Music Education. She is also an accredited teacher of the Orff Schulwerk Association, an accredited teacher of the NSW Music Teachers Association in piano, theory, musicianship, and registered teacher with the NSW Department of Education. She studied piano under Professor Elizabeth Powell and Alexander Vinokurov, both AMEB examiners and teachers of the Sydney Conservatorium of music.
Having taught Year 7- Year 12 in various high schools, Christy is now the director of ISM-RYDE, and focuses on early childhood music education. She teaches classes at all levels including individual tuition and this together with her responsibilities as a school director at ISM Ryde ensures a busy schedule.
Christy is patient and encourages individuality and creativity in her classroom. She is a passionate and energetic teacher with years of experience in both private and group tuition. Christy enjoys the diversity of being a school director, music educator, pianist and vocal coach.

Jacquely Wang is a passionate and energetic teacher with rich experience in both vocal and piano. She is very good at motivating and inspiring students to discover their passion and maximus their potential for music. Jacquely is a solo singing actress in many different art ensembles. She has won many music awards including Winner of New Talent Singing Competition TVB Australia and Top 10 of The voice of China Oceanic Region.
Encouraged as a young child to learn piano, music has always been an integral part of Catherine’s life. She has further developed her skills as a teacher, training in music as therapy and obtaining a degree in Creative Arts Administration.
Catherine joined ISM Ryde in 2009 and has taught classes from Little Beebopper Music through to AMEB Diploma Levels, and now focuses mainly on private individual lessons. Her past experience has included teaching in private schools, in her own practice and at ISM Northbridge.
Catherine teaches students from early ages to adults, and from beginners to the more advanced levels. She encourages students to play music just for fun, to simply enjoy learning an instrument or to set a goal through aiming for higher levels of proficiency through examinations.
